Composition and thermodynamic properties of reacting mixtures

Abstract: The composition and thermodynamic properties of products of the reaction were determined for the values of parameters , and in the pressure range 0.1-10 MPa and the temperature range 298.15-50 000 K. Reaction products for lower temperatures in the region considered form an ideal heterogeneous system in the state of thermodynamic equilibrium at constant temperature and pressure. The properties of a heterogeneous system are affected by phase transitions in the system and therefore attention is paid to the occ… Show more

“…Taking into account the temperature and pressure ranges, in first approximation we can assume that the plasmas are in thermal and chemical equilibrium. In this case, the composition and thermodynamic properties may be obtained with a very good accuracy [4]. These latter have been given for Ag-SiO 2 in two previous papers [5,6].…”

“…These days, CO 2 circuit breakers adopt the PTFE nozzle for the same advantageous purpose. With PTFE as the impurity in SF 6 gas, some material properties data were revealed in the previous works [9,10], which are of great importance in order to have better prediction of SF 6 arcs. To the knowledge of the authors, there are some investigations related to the material properties of CO 2 and its mixtures.…”

“…Under the assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE), the physical parameters of the system are only functions of temperature and pressure. The minimization of Gibbs free energy means that the Gibbs function of the equilibrium state is the smallest when the temperature and pressure are constant [17]. In this paper, the particle composition of SF 6 arc plasma is studied by this method.…”

“…Chervy and Gleizes considered the influence of copper vapour on the particle compositions and proposed a particle composition model of an SF 6 /Cu mixture [16]. Coufal studied the effect of PTFE ablation on particle compositions, and the Gibbs free energy minimization method was first used in the calculation [17]. Wang et al studied the arc plasma particle compositions of an SF 6 /CF 4 gas mixture [18].…”
