“…Additionally, there were no observations of correlations between the water content and the indices of cryptic metasomatism, such as La/Yb, La/Sm, or Ce (Figures 7(b)-7(f); [1,3,4]) in any of the samples. However, as previously demonstrated [22,23,59,60], the lithospheric mantle beneath the V. Grib pipe was metasomatised by silicate and carbonatite melts. Therefore, the interaction of the eclogites with the mantle melts/fluids during their residence within the lithospheric mantle was possible.…”

“…Clinopyroxene composition depends on primary magma characteristics and the crystallization environment. Its composition can well reflect the characteristics of the primary magma (Kargin, Sazonova, Nosova, & Tretyachenko, ; Leterrier, Maury, Thonon, Girard, & Marchal, ; Nisbet & Pearce, ; Rivalenti et al, ; Seyler & Bonatti, ; Tang et al, ). According to the mineral chemistry of clinopyroxene from Cenozoic basalts in the SCS, Yan, Shi, Wang, and Bu () found that Pyroxene microlite has higher content in Ca, Ti, and Fe than pyroxene phenocryst and suggested that the evolution trend of host magma of pyroxene is coincidence with that of alkali rock series.…”

“…Abundant geochemical (Agashev et al, ; Aulbach et al, ; Doucet et al, ; Griffin et al, ; Hawkesworth et al, ; Howarth et al, ; Huang et al, ; Kargin et al, ; Peslier et al, ) and geophysical data (Artemieva, ; Artemieva et al, ; Artemieva & Vinnik, ; Cherepanova & Artemieva, ) from different cratons worldwide indicate that LM in kimberlite provinces is melt‐ and water‐metasomatized. Our results indicate that the kimberlite provinces of Baltica, Greenland, and Labrador are all emplaced in regions with a low‐dense (3.32–3.33 g/cm 3 ) LM (Figure ), and nondiamondiferous kimberlites are clearly associated with a slightly denser mantle.…”
