“…Aussi, l'huile essentielle de Mentha piperata L. a un effet répulsif efficace contre le vecteur de la fièvre dengue (Sarita et al, 2011). Concernant les études chimiques, la composition de l'huile essentielle de Mentha piperata L. de diverses origines géographiques a été déterminée et les composés majeurs suivants ont été identifiés : menthol (53,28%), acétate de menthyle (15,10%), menthofurane (11,18%), 1,8 cinéole (6.69%) en Iran (Mohammad et al, 2012) ; (+)-menthol (38,06), menthol (35,64%), néomenthol (6,73%) en Turquie (Suleyman et al,2010) ; L-menthol (37,15), menthol (30,67%), isomenthone (10,33%), acetate de menthyle (5.46%) en Serbie (Zoran et al,2009) ; néomenthol (40,47%), menthol (36,58%), 1,8 cinéole (8,68%), acetate de menthyle (4.33%) en Égypte (Fatman et Jaime ,2012) ; menthone (29,01%), menthol (5,58%) , acétate de menthyle (3,34%) au Maroc (Derwich et al , 2010) ; menthol (37,3%), Pmenthone (24,4%), isomenthone (8,5%) en Inde (Samresh et al,2004) ; Menthol (33,2%), acétate de menthyle (29,5%) en Russie (Kurilov et al,2009). Certains constituants peu communs comme l'acide oléique (Samresh et al, 2004), fait partie aussi des éléments constitutifs de l'huile essentielle de Mentha piperata L. Au Congo, peu d'études ont été consacrées sur Mentha piperata L. Le but du présent travail est de déterminer la composition chimique de l'huile essentielle de Mentha piperata L. obtenue par hydrodistillation.…”
