Comprehensive Analysis of Pertinent Genes and Pathways in Atrial Fibrillation

Abstract: Purpose. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most frequent arrhythmia in clinical practice. The pathogenesis of AF is not yet clear. Therefore, exploring the molecular information of AF displays much importance for AF therapy. Methods. The GSE2240 data were acquired from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. The R limma software package was used to screen DEGs. Based on the Gene Ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG), and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) databases, we conducted the … Show more

“…In order to further study the arrangement of different structural elements, some important structural fragments or patterns have been proposed one after another [ 51 ]. The length of the longest segment (MaxSeg SE ) is defined as the following formula: where MaxLen represents the function of the maximal segment length, and SEG SE is the composed of each segment of the structure element SE [ 52 ]. In order to reduce the length effect, a normalized length of the longest segment (NMaxSeg SE ) is defined where N is the sequence length.…”

“…Although several bioinformatics studies have been conducted on AF to identify key mediators and therapeutic targets, most remained at the speculative level without verification, 19 with single-dimensional verification, 20 or included only one dataset. 21 In addition, none of these studies addressed the correlation between mitophagy and AF.…”
