Consensus Congestion Control in Multirouter Networks Based on Multiagent System

Abstract: Due to the unbalance distribution of network resources and network traffic, congestion is an inherent property of the Internet. The consensus congestion controller based on the multiagent system theory is designed for the multirouter topology, which improves the performance of the whole networks. Based on the analysis of the causes of congestion, the topology of multirouter networks is modeled based on the graph theory and the network congestion control problem is described as a consensus problem in multiagent… Show more

“…Similarly, for SLS, how to efficiently control it to a desired state is also an important issue. In order to regulate a network to reach a desired state, control schemes are usually applied in various real networks, such as the power grids, 26 the Internet, 27 the transportation networks, 28 and the communication networks 29 . Among the various control schemes, the pinning control is of particular concern, as it only needs to control a small number of nodes in a network 30‐32 .…”

“…ese drawbacks may lead to a threat of system performance and even result in network paralysis. erefore, the investigation that how to promote the utilization rate of communication bandwidth is studied extensively in [6][7][8][9][10][11] and references therein. e stochastic noise and exogenous disturbance affect the stability and performance of the system greatly.…”

“…I N recent years, synchronization of multiagent networks with distributed control protocols has obtained great attention by researchers from different fields, formation and containment control, sensor networks, multiple agent supporting systems, distributed computation, multiple robot systems and network congestion alleviation, et al [1]- [15]. According to different structures, multiagent networks are usually categorized into two types: leader-following ones and leaderless ones, which are associated with leader-following synchronization and leaderless synchronization, respectively.…”
