Construction of poly(dopamine) doped oligopeptide hydrogel

Abstract: Incorporation of poly(dopamine) (PDA) into the native oligopeptide hydrogel has been demonstrated to decrease the critical gel concentration (CGC), improve the rigidity of formed hybrid hydrogel, and especially endow the hydrogel with efficient free radical scavenging ability.Inspired by nature, self-assembly strategy has been well developed to build various biomaterials in recent years. For example, self-assembly of DNA, 1,2 phospholipids, 3,4 proteins, 5,6 as well as peptides 7 has been widely exploited to c… Show more

“…The peak at around 1498 cm −1 was the C=C skeleton vibration peak of the benzene ring from PDA [ 37 ]. The peak at 1630 cm −1 was formed by the oxidation of the dobutamine hydroxyl group to the ketone group C=O [ 38 ]. The peak at around 3440 cm −1 can be attributed to the stretching vibration of N–H and OH [ 32 ].…”

“…[ 56–62 ] Most wood‐derived light‐emitting materials are photoluminescent, suggesting that they will emit fluorescence or phosphorescence upon light irradiation. [ 63–65 ] The main focus of this section is fluorescent and phosphorescent wood‐derived materials including fluorescent CDs, anti‐ACQ materials, and CPL materials.…”

“…The peptides of WFFW and RGDWFFW were synthesized manually by solid phase method employing a standard Fmoc chemistry. 30,31 Aer the attachment of amino acids to the resin, the peptide appended resin was washed with DMF, MeOH and DCM for three times, and then dried under vacuum overnight.…”
