Mobile learning (m-learning) is one of the most technological environments used in higher education distance learning programmes. M-learning provides students with widespread access to classroom resources via mobile devices' networks and the possibility to learn regardless of their time and place. Many studies have shown the importance of the relationship between electronic systems and communities' traditions, because their increasing levels of acceptance depend on many moderators that directly affect the acceptance of M-learning communities. This study aims to verify the influence of demographic moderators in the UTAUT model to increase the level of learning perspectives acceptance via mobile in specific higher education communities and institutions. In the present study, the specific community is Saudi Arabia (KSA). The gender separation found in all stages of the Saudi education system is based on religious policies rooted in an Islamic perspective. Using m-learning smartphone applications could be helpful, yet also affected by traditional factors, in supporting women's efforts in higher education institutions in conservative countries such as KSA. The experiences that we uncover in KSA could be applied in other communities. The method used in the study is a quantitative approach based on a questionnaire completed by roughly 400 university students who are studying, at least in part, via their colleges' and universities' m-learning systems. The main objective of the study is to lead to a gradual increase in the number of remote learning students in many Saudi universities over the next five years according to Saudi vision 2030. With the conservative policies pursued in KSA in mind, women face a significant challenge in completing various education paths; thus, providing m-learning through electronic channels, such as mobile applications, could assist them significantly as they face these challenges.

Mobile phones have been identified as the catalyst for offering portable, real-time communication and access to information. In developing countries, where the adoption of mobile phones has reached remarkable levels, mobile phones are seen as a key means for improving access to education. In Libya, mobile phones offer a much more reliable and affordable way to reach students than technologies that have high physical infrastructure requirements. This article presents findings from a case study carried out at two Libyan Universities and concerns engineering students' experience and perceptions of using mobile phones to support their learning. The findings focus primarily on how students use their mobile phones to support learning. The article also provides an analysis of relationships between students' demographic characteristics and access to technology, and use of mobile phones for learning.

With the rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICTs), having a website is inevitable for the organizations. Ministry of Saudi Arabia has adopted a policy to use ICT to universities to improve their university portals and services that they offer. Although having good ICT infrastructure in the Saudi Arabian universities, the usage of university portal still low. This paper aims to identify the current situation of student’s portal usage and its content issues that face student in Saudi Arabia universities, and how to solve these issues to produce good quality of portal content that can encourage the students to use the student portal. An online survey questionnaire was collected from 40 academic staff from various universities in Saudi Arabia, and reviewed a numbers of papers. The findings reveal that there is a lack of student’s portals contents, awareness of using ICT, and training and guidance. By enhancing quality of content that will increase the student satisfaction to use the portal, and that will help the university to produce good portal to their students.
