“…and Kocabeyoglu et al . found that TBUT was significantly higher at 3 weeks after injection 37 , 41 . We focused on the tear film LLT, which can reflect the tear film stability in an alternative manner and directly reveal meibomian gland function 42 , and found that BoNT injection significantly increased the tear film LLT without affecting meibomian gland dropout (Table 2 ).…”

“…Moon et al 22 observed reduction in astigmatism values in patients with HFS 1 month after treatment with BTX-A. Gunes et al 23 used Scheimpflug imaging to evaluate corneal parameters in patients with HFS before BTX-A application and with 3-week and 3-month follow-ups. They observed significant reduction in astigmatism values three weeks and three months after treatment; nevertheless, changes in other corneal parameters were not observed.…”

“…Using videokeratoscopy, Moon et al 26 observed a reduction in astigmatism values in these patients 1 month after treatment with BTX-A. Gunes et al 27 used the Scheimpflug system to assess corneal parameters in hemifacial spasm patients before BTX-A application and at the 3-week and 3-month follow-ups. They found a significant reduction in astigmatism at both timepoints; nevertheless, significant changes in other corneal parameters were not observed.…”
