This paper shows the characteristics of an algorithm that calculates the corona losses of transmission lines. The line can have up to four circuits, with any configuration, with single or bundled conductors, and taking into account the line unbalance. This is achieved by modelling the lines in phase quantities, for active conductor, and calculating the corona losses for each one. The results are given per active conductor and average per bundle. In lines with several conductors per phase the results are given per circuit and a total one. These characteristics allow choosing the most convenient configuration and spacing for the conductor bundles, which will reduce and balance corona losses. The results found with this method show that the value of the losses calculated with the formulas with transmission lines symmetrically transposed is conservative. The configuration and the number of conductors per phase have a noted influence in the value and the asymmetry of the corona losses. In double circuit lines, corona losses can be reduced by changing the arrangement of the phases of circuit two in reference to circuit one, with the advantage that, at the design stage, those changes are costless.

Sandstorms are a common natural phenomenon that has the potential to cause severe disruptions to civil infrastructure. However, the effect of sandstorms on transmission tower structures has not received much attention. This paper proposes the simulation of the wind-sand loads for the analysis of transmission tower structures under sandstorm excitation by superposing the wind loads and sand particle loads. The wind load is generated based on Kaimal fluctuating wind power spectrum and the harmonic superposition method, and the sand load is constructed based on the law of conservation of momentum and sandstorm classification. A transmission tower was modeled and simulated in SAP2000 to explore the dynamic response of the tower towards wind-sand loads. A comparison of wind-induced and wind-sand-induced responses shows that the structural dynamic responses of transmission towers due to the wind-sand effect are pronounced. Particularly, the maximum longitudinal displacements and axial forces increased greatly. The results showed that the sandstorm loads for transmission towers cannot be neglected, and more attention should be paid to the structural design of transmission towers to resist such loads.

Cubicle 20 kV is a crucial electrical equipment in the 20 kV power distribution system. Often, cubicle issues arise due to excessively low or high temperatures and humidity, which can lead to the presence of water spots and corrosion on the components inside the 20 kV cubicle. One of the efforts to maintain the reliability of this 20 kV cubicle is to ensure that the temperature and humidity inside the cubicle remain within their operational limits. To achieve this, a system is needed to control the temperature and humidity in the 20 kV cubicle. The system can monitor and control the temperature and humidity inside the cubicle by adjusting the activation angle of the exhaust fan and heater. Control is achieved using a multiple-input, multiple-output fuzzy logic controller. The main components of this system are the STM32 microcontroller, DHT22 sensor, and ESP8266 module for monitoring temperature and humidity via a website. System has successfully controlled temperature and humidity d with a set point value of 35 °C and humidity of 60% RH. This implementation of fuzzy multiple input multiple outputs has performed well and resulted in only a small error of 0.55% for temperature and 1.05% for humidity.With the presence of this device, the temperature and humidity in the cubicle 20 kV can be controlled, and it enables the PLN operator to easily monitor and maintain the cubicle 20 kV.
