Abstract:In this work, the quantification of key microstructural features like γ′ size morphology distribution, grain size, and localized stress distribution, especially near a fracture, were coupled with mechanical properties under various temperatures in Ni-base powder metallurgy superalloys subjected to sub-solvus or super-solvus heat treatments. Compared to super-solvus heat-treated alloy, sub-solvus heat-treated superalloy with a finer grain size exhibited higher ductility/strength at 550 °C, whilst adverse trend … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
