Abstract:In the human DC-ERG the amplitude of the slow negative potential is modulated by the corneoretinal potential as well as the c wave. Depending on the phase of the slow oscillation of the corneoretinal potential some subjects show a c wave and others do not. Some subjects, who show a c wave during the maximum of the slow oscillation, have no c wave during the minimum, but show the slow negative potential. A hypothesis of slow oscillation influence on the c wave is given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
