This study aims to monitor the chloride ion deposition rate at nine distinct locations on Zhairuoshan Island in the East China Sea over a period of 16 months. The research investigates the impact of offshore distance, azimuth, season, rainfall, and wind conditions on the rate of chloride ion deposition. Furthermore, this study conducts an atmospheric corrosion test on Q235 steel at four representative points on the island, and subsequently compares the findings with the chloride ion deposition rate.
