“…[12][13][14] Metal coatings, such as Ni, [15][16][17][18] Ni-P, 19,20 Ni-Cu, 21,22 Zn, [23][24][25][26] are the most popular choices in the industry. So far, aqueous electroplating is still the most widely used method of metal coating deposition, [27][28][29][30] although physical vapor deposition, [31][32][33] chemical vapor deposition, 4 thermal spraying, 34 and other technologies have also developed. Unfortunately, NdFeB is prone to corrosion during the aqueous electroplating process due to exposure to the electrolytic bath solution.…”

“…(3) MS uses strong magnets to confine electrons in the plasma near the surface of the target, which results in higher density plasmas and increased deposition rates of the films. Furthermore, MS makes the low temperature processing of the as-prepared sulfur electrodes possible, and it can provide compact thin films with a very good adhesion on the substrate surface. All of these advantages make MS a very strong candidate in the event a coating technique is ever needed for the commercialization of Li–S batteries. In this work, sulfur electrodes were coated with TiO 2 thin films using MS, and various deposition times (2, 4, and 8 min) were studied in order to achieve an electrochemically stable electrode.…”

“…[10][11][12] Compared with surface coatings, the application of alloy elements addition was limited because only a few alloy elements marginally improved the corrosion resistance at a substantial compromise of magnetic properties and some magnetic properties could be considerably deteriorated. 13,14 Coatings were widely applied due to more excellent anticorrosion performance, lower cost and simple process. Currently, electroless Ni-P coatings as a protective film became potential application in the aspect of protecting magnets for their outstanding anticorrosion and mechanical performance compared to that of other coatings.…”
