Counseling Latina Battered Women: A Qualitative Study of the Latina Perspective

Abstract: This qualitative study examined the experience of Latina survivors of domestic violence for information that might help counselors become more attuned to the needs of Latina women. The results highlight the importance of particular cultural variables, including gender socialization and familism.
