Coupling relationship between cold chain logistics and economic development: A investigation from China

Abstract: This paper builds an evaluation index system, uses the entropy weight method (EWM) to decide the weights and, based on the coupling coordination degree model (CCDM), it systematically studies the coupling relationship between Chinese cold chain logistics and the Chinese economy from 2010 to 2019. It performs a grey relational analysis (GRE) to explore the main factors influencing the coordinated development of the two. The results show that the coupling coordination degree between the two presents a steady upw… Show more

“…It was shown that there was no significant correlation between the factor of skills and knowledge and logistics performance (p > 0.05). This is explained by the findings of the following journals by Xie et al, (2022), who discovered a severe shortage of logistics professionals, inadequate investment in innovation, a lackluster capacity for innovation transformation, and low overall operational efficiency and benefit in China's logistic industry. The lack of management employees, logistics planners, and logistics researchers with a thorough understanding of management and modern logistics management principles is something that businesses should take seriously in order to improve management performance (Huang, Li & Wang, 2019).…”

“…Zhu et al (2022) [25] established a CCD model and analyzed the dynamic characteristics and types of CCD between the two systems in Tangshan city. Lin et al ( 2022) [26] used CCD model to reveal interactions between urban resilience subsystems. Xie et al (2022) [27] studied the coupling relationship between cold-chain logistics and the economy from 2010 to 2019, based on the CCD model.…”

Xie et al (2022) [27] studied the coupling relationship between cold-chain logistics and the economy from 2010 to 2019, based on the CCD model. Therefore, referring to the research of these scholars, we use the CCD model to measure the coupling and coordination between the digital economic system and the rural logistics system.…”

“…Cold chain logistics has become a crucial requirement to satisfy consumer demand as fast worldwide economic growth accelerates urbanization and raises customer expectations for fresh food quantity and quality [1]. In order to guarantee quality and reduce waste and loss, frozen goods must constantly be produced, stored, and delivered at the proper low temperatures.…”

“…Many scholars have only considered the general logistics industry and transportation mode choice in the decision-making process and not for cold chain logistics. For global socioeconomic development, we need to vigorously develop trunk transport modes such as railway cold chain logistics and further increase the proportion of railways in long-distance cold chain logistics [1]. As a result, research into the dynamic behavior strategy of cold chain logistics is critical for logistics management and policy formulation.…”
