“…A white turbid slurry of MSQ-SiH and 5 wt % Vinyl-POSS was obtained using a rotation/revolution vacuum mixer, and it was mixed again to obtain a homogeneous slurry after the addition of platinum (0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (Karstedt’s catalyst). Subsequently, the cross-linked gel film was prepared via the hydrosilylation reaction by heating at 80, 120, and 140 °C for 1 h, respectively, and then at 160 °C for 4 h. As reported in a previous paper, MSQ-SiH has one silyl group on each repeating unit . The molar ratio of MSQ-SiH and Vinyl-POSS was estimated to be approximately 50:1, i.e., vinyl groups in Vinyl-POSS reacted with 6–8 times the number of hydrosilyl groups in MSQ-SiH to complete the transformations of vinyl groups to ethylene linkages.…”
