“…Past studies largely focused on the perceived usefulness and value of teaching IPR among public relations educators and practitioners (Larsen & Len-Rios, 2006; Neff, Walker, Smith, & Creedon, 1999; Stacks, Botan, & VanSlyke Turk, 1999), resulting in offering numerous guidelines and prescriptions for the best IPR course content for future practitioners (Bardhan, 2003; Creedon & Al-Khaja, 2005; Taylor, 2001). For instance, Hatzios and Lariscy (2008) conducted a qualitative study among the U.S. educators and practitioners, and the top three recommendations across the board were as follows: learn a foreign language well, have at least one or two internships (preferably one that was either abroad or for an international company in the United States), and have some international travel or study experience.…”
