CRI diesel injector transient heat–mass transfer with combustion-pollution indicated parameters consideration for Helical Orifice by various needle profiles

Abstract: In the present paper, the effect of using Helical Orifice on transient heat-mass transfer and Combustion Indicated Quantities has been investigated in High Pressure Liquid Fuel Injector for different needle Movements using Avl Fire CFD code. The effect of each of the proposed needle movement profiles (triangular, trapezius, and boot) with the help of a three-dimensional moving mesh by numerical model in AVL Fire software, which has been validated with experimental data in each part, on the performance of the d… Show more

“…Recently, in view of demands for reductions in carbon dioxide emissions, improvements in thermal efficiency as well as establishment of ultralow emissions in diesel engines are attracting attention and many papers related to the thermal efficiency of diesel engines have been reported in the recent 4 years. 137 The papers can be classified into three categories, including papers on the cooling loss reduction with suppression of heat transfer to the combustion chamber wall, 111 applications including the Miller cycle and cylinder deactivation, 1216 and combustion improvement with optimizations of combustion chamber shapes and fuel injection strategies. 1,17…”
