Commonly isolated organisms such as Escherichia coli, Kiebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were correctly identified. However, relatively common organisms such as Enterobacter cloacae, Citrobacter freundii, Proteus vulgans, Providencia spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., and Pseudomonas cepacia, as well as uncommon organisms, were frequently incorrectly identified.
