Cross-Regulation Assessment of DIDO Buck-Boost Converter for Renewable Energy Application

Abstract: When medium-or high-voltage power conversion is preferred for renewable energy sources, multilevel power converters have received much of the interest in this area as methods for enhancing the conversion efficiency and cost effectiveness. In such cases, multilevel, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) configurations of DC-DC converters come to the scenario for integrating several sources together, especially considering the stringent regulatory needs and the requirement of multistage power conversion systems. Consi… Show more

“…The proposed method has minimum sensitivity indices of 0.012, whereas in [28], it is found to be 0.016, which is calculated based on the step change in voltage variations. It is observed that while calculating the sensitivity index, the value obtained is less than the value mentioned in [13][14][15]22]. In summary, the DMPC controller used in PSLLC converter is superior to the existing methods.…”

“…The buck-boost converter is a kind of common power electronic converter, which has the characteristics of step-up or step-down, simple structure, and easy grounding [1][2][3]. Therefore, it is widely used in social applications, such as solar power [4][5][6], battery technology [7,8], vehicles [9,10], light emitting diode (LED)lamp driver [11], and telecommunication equipment [12].…”
