relevance of the study is due to the need to develop a modern model of the formation of universal competence of self-education and self-development of University students, aimed at the growth of their professional activities in the digital economy within the national interests of the state. Training of modern personnel, development of digitalization of education are one of the leading directions of the government program "Digital economy" in Russia. Economic efficiency and professional growth of graduates of Russian universities is achieved by means of formation and development of digital skills, worked out in the classroom for self-education and self-development with the use of the author's model on the digital educational platform. This highlights the novelty of this study.
