«Culturologist in the labor market»: results of the international scientific-practical conference

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the development prospects of cultural studies in modern Russia. It is shown that cultural studies should become not only the training of scientists and teachers, but also specialists in the field of cultural industries and the examination of intangible cultural heritage. At the conference “Culturologist on the labor market”, which ended in St. Petersburg, the key plenary report of which is the basis of this article, the issues of employment of culturologists, the prospects for approving professional standards, the role of cultural studies in shaping Russian cultural policy, the demand for cultural experts in central and remote regions of the Russian Federation.
