“…Microalgae are a diverse group of unicellular prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms that are widespread in nature, and can be used for mitigating hypoxia. 15 Microalgae are approximately 2–10 μm in size and are composed of lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates. Unlike many other microorganisms, they are also considered excellent sources of various bioactive compounds, such as antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.…”

“…Recently, by uniting the alive traits of microorganisms with the versatile properties of functional materials, the customized materials‐assisted microorganisms (MAMO) were well fabricated, [ 16 ] and emergingly applied in biosensing, [ 17 ] self‐repairing and regeneration, [ 18 ] protein production, [ 19 ] antipathogens, and diseases treatment. [ 20 ] Particularly, by utilizing the unique ability of microorganisms, many intractable diseases have the chance to be well treated, including kidney failure, [ 21 ] colon cancer, [ 22 ] colitis, [ 23 ] and alcoholic liver disease, [ 24 ] etc.…”
