CYTOSTATIC ACTIVITY OF SOME CANARY ISLANDS SPECIES OFRUTACEAE

Abstract: Eighteen coumarins from different species of R u t a collected in the Canary lslands were tested for cytostatic activity. Rutarnarin proved to be strikingly cytotoxic.W e tried to establish the structurelactivity relationship and also to elucidate the mechanism of the activity of this constituent.
