The introduction of new medical, organizational and educational technologies has significantly improved the quality of medical care for newborn children, increased the level of knowledge of specialists in this field and reduced the infant mortality rate in the country. The article evaluates 10 years of experience in the implementation and development of simulation training in the profile of “neonatology” at the Far Eastern State Medical University, and conducts a retrospective analysis of the work of the Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Perinatology with the course of emergency medicine on the basis of the Federal Center for «neonatology» discipline within the framework of additional professional education. Changed approaches to education in the specialty “Neonatology” have significantly improved the level of training in this area.
