Dark tourism in the former Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

Abstract: This chapter discusses the current practices of dark tourism conducted in the former demilitarized zone (DMZ), evoking the confrontation of two ideologies between Vietnamese and American troops in the Vietnam War. The two authors, Ngo, Bui and Dimache, examine the structure of the dark tourism industry, issues of governance, promotion and production of dark tourism and the involvement of tourists and tour guides in the historic sites in the DMZ of Quang Tri province.
