DAS Ampal Analisa Fungsi dan Pengaruh Bangunan Pengendali Banjir DAS Ampal Kota Balikpapan

Abstract: Ampal Catchment Area has 25.273 km2 area and 4.699 km main river length, which planned to have 13 flood control construction. Until 2017, this catchment area has only three flood control construction. The watershed has only three built-in batters that are used to reduce the amount of flood discharge flowing on the Ampal river. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to analyze the magnitude of the difference of flood peak discharge on the existing condition (three bendali) compared with the condition of the… Show more

“…Yet, in the study area of Balikpapan, there has not been any localized research discussing the urban flood risk and their links to climate change. Previous research in Balikpapan city has only discussed about the functions of watershed area and its impact to flooding (Kadar Yanti et al , 2018), and a few others have only conducted vulnerability mapping to flooding (Harfadli and Ulimaz, 2021). Even the newest research published in 2021 only focuses on drainage channels and volume of rainwater runoff (Ilir et al , 2021).…”

“…The research will focus on the planning of the drainage system in the MIPA faculty area which consists of five new buildings namely buildings C, D, E, F and G. Drainage system planning includes design of drainage dimensions such as width, length and depth by paying attention to runoff discharge due to rain runoff in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences [9]. In addition, the planning of flow direction in the drainage channel will pay attention to the elevation (contour) of the soil based on the topography of the review area [10].…”
