DataEther: Data Exploration Framework For Ethereum

Abstract: With the demand to process ever-growing data volumes, a variety of new data stream processing frameworks have been developed. Moving an implementation from one such system to another, e.g., for performance reasons, requires adapting existing applications to new interfaces. Apache Beam addresses these high substitution costs by providing an abstraction layer that enables executing programs on any of the supported streaming frameworks. In this paper, we present a novel benchmark architecture for comparing the pe… Show more

“…Moreover, the attacker steals ETH by re-entering another function, getMyReward() in the DAO. Our observation is consistent with a recent study that getMyReward() is reentered by attackers [73]. The attacking smart contract is similar with the one re-entering splitDAO() except that it reenters getMyReward() rather than splitDAO().…”

“…Blocksci [52] constructs a platform for researchers to analyze the blockchain data. DataEther [53] is a tool to obtain the data from Ethereum, with code modification of the Ethereum clients. Google BigQuery [54] imports the data of Bitcoin and Ethereum and enables researchers to analyaze the data online while updating Ethereum data has been stopped for a long time.…”

“…At present, the studies on blockchain data collection are mainly focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum while few of them are concentrated on EOISO. For example, DataEther [63] is a tool with code modification of the Ethereum clients to obtain the Ethereum data, while Google BigQuery [64] imports data from Bitcoin and Ethereum to enables researchers to analyze data online. XBlock-ETH [20] provides a large number of well-processed Ethereum datasets while does not include the EOSIO data.…”
