Abstract:The 3p '~5s ' resonant excitation energy and decay width of Kr atoms are calculated by an ab initio Green's-function method. The dipolar relaxation energy shift of the 3p ' -+Ss' resonantly excited state of Kr atoms is predominantly due to the 3p '5s'~3d 25s'sf super-Coster-Krouig (sCK) spectator decay process. The calculated excitation energies are overestimated by about 1. 0 eV. The decay widths for 3p /2~5 s ' and 3p3/2~5 s ' resonantly excited states are 2.08 and 1.88 eV, respectively. They are larger than… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
