Defensin Production by Human Limbo-Corneal Fibroblasts Infected with Mycobacteria

Abstract: Epithelial cells of the cornea and the conjunctiva constitutively produce antimicrobial peptides; however, the production of defensins by other cell types located around the eye has not been investigated.
