INTRODUCTIONPersimmon (Diospyros kaki, family Ebenaceae) is a seasonal fruit-producing tree native to China, which later spread to Korea, Japan, and other parts of the world as a traditional crop and exotic fruit (Choudhary et al., 2022;Nazir et al., 2013;Yuniastuti et al., 2021).
