Abstract: Chantal Mouffe, junto al teórico político argentino Ernesto Laclau (1935-2014), lanzó, en 1985, las bases de la teoría del discurso. Luego, desarrolló su trabajo en el sentido de profundizar como influyen las formulaciones de la teoría del discurso en el análisis de las democracias contemporáneas.
