However, Rahimi Namin et al [33] found that there were significant differences in the development of T. castaneum female and male pupae among various varieties of barley. Given that differences were not constant for both sexes among the tested varieties it may be concluded that the lack of differences in our study and in the one of Kavallieratos et al [16] is due to the fact that the overall population of female and male pupae was analyzed.…”
