Demonstratives and the Noun Phrase Structure of Hakha Chin

Abstract: Demonstratives are linked to spatial deixis, definiteness, and other semantic and pragmatic functions. This paper looks at the demonstrative class in Hakha Chin, a Kuki-Chin language in the Tibeto-Burman family.
