Preventive measures such as brushing teeth are still considered not good for children. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Data and Data Center in 2018, it was stated that tooth brushing behavior based on age groups in Indonesia, namely the daily brushing behavior of children aged 10-14 years, had a percentage of 96.5% with the percentage of correct tooth brushing time being 2.1%. Riskesdas states that the percentage of brushing teeth correctly is 2.8%. Promotional efforts that can be made are Dental Health Education. Apart from being carried out on children, this effort can also be carried out on parents, especially mothers. Powtoon as a multimedia application that can be used as a learning medium has several advantages, including very interesting animation features such as handwritten animation, cartoon animation and lively transition effects as well as easy timeline management. The research method and stages are development research to produce media products, then to see the effect of media use, a quasi-experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design is used. Research Results: Powtoon media for dental health education because of FGD with media experts, health promotion experts and dental health promotion media has been created with the results of expert validation and declared suitable for use as a media for Dental Health Education. Test the influence of powtoon media on children's teeth brushing practices and parents' knowledge using Wilcoxon test analysis with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.005, which means there is a significant influence.

Media is a tool used by health workers in the health promotion process. The selection of health promotion media must be based on target tastes, have a broad impact, and be delivered attractively. The phenomenon of using social media as a parenting education medium among young mothers cannot be separated from technological advances accompanied by the emergence of the internet. Young mothers before the internet will be oriented to the experience of previous parents on how to maintain dental and oral health in toddlers. Now educational information about parenting has led to online platforms, one of which is Instagram social media. Objective: Design and build a dental health promotion application through Instagram aimed at young mothers. Method: Research and development of Instagram social media SiGigi_Ku using the R & D method. Sampling using purposive sampling techniques on young mothers who have toddlers aged 23-35 years totaling 36 people. Results: The media suitability test assessed by 3 experts obtained an average value of 87.41 with a very high interpretation, meaning the media was suitable for use. The Wilxocon test on 36 samples showed a significant increase in maternal knowledge (p-value 0.000). Conclusion: SiGigi_Ku Instagram social media is suitable for use and is effective in increasing mother’ knowledge

Data Riskesdas 2018 menunjukan nilai rata-rata DMF-T diangka 4,5. Faktor perilaku sebagai penyumbang terjadinya masalah sebesar 25-30%. Upaya dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peran terapis gigi dan mulut diperlukan kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan pendekatan promotif dan preventif tentang pemahanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Keberhasilan program promotif dan preventif untuk mewujudkan derajat kesehatan yang optimal salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan kegiatan implementasi sokmursa. Tujuan kegiatan: menciptakan kemampuan pelihara diri di bidang kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta status kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang optimal. Metode pelaksanaan: kegiatan promotif berupa pelatihan kader (dokter gigi kecil) pada siswa secara edukatif dan kegiatan preventif berupa sikat gigi bersama pada siswa. Hasil kegiatan: menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan dari 6,00 menjadi 8,40. Kesimpulan: edukasi tentang cara menggosok gigi yang benar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan.
