-The goal of storage is to maintain the characteristics that seeds have immediately after processing; however, when this is over longer periods, storage may cause loss in quality. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of treatment with insecticide and fungicide on corn seeds harvested in kernel form and in the ear over the time of storage in two environments for 360 days. The seeds were subjected to the following treatments: T1 -control; T2 -Deltamethrin + Pirimiphosmethyl + Fludioxonil; T3 -Deltamethrin + Pirimiphos-methyl + Fludioxonil + Thiamethoxam; T4 -Thiamethoxam, and T5 -Fenitrothion. They were then placed in paper bags and stored in two environments, in a cold room with an average temperature of 16 °C and RH of 60% and in a non-controlled environment (an average room temperature of 25 ºC and RH of 70%) located in the municipality of Pelotas, RS, Brazil. Every four months (0, 120, 240 and 360 days), seed germination and vigor was evaluated by the first count of germination test and cold test. Reduction in germination and vigor of corn seeds, conditioned by the insecticides and fungicide used in the seed treatment, vary according to the product and the time over which the seeds remain stored. The seeds harvested in the ear show lower loss of physiological quality than those harvested in kernel form.Index terms: Zea mays L., germination, vigor, seed treatment.Desempenho fisiológico durante o armazenamento de sementes de milho tratadas com inseticidas e fungicida RESUMO -O armazenamento tem por objetivo manter as características que as sementes possuem imediatamente após o beneficiamento, porém, quando por períodos mais extensos, o mesmo pode causar perdas na qualidade das mesmas. O objetivo neste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do tratamento com inseticida e fungicida sobre sementes de milho colhidas a granel e em espiga durante o armazenamento em dois ambientes por 360 dias. As sementes foram submetidas aos tratamentos: T1-testemunha; T2-Deltamethrin + Pirimifós-metílico + Fludioxonil; T3-Deltamethrin +Pirimifós-metílico + Fludioxonil + Tiametoxam; T4-Tiametoxam e T5-Fenitrothion. Em seguida, foram acondicionadas em sacos de papel e armazenadas em dois ambientes: câmara fria com temperatura média de 16 °C e UR de 60% e em ambiente não controlado (câmara com temperatura média de 25 ºC e UR de 70%, localizada no município de Pelotas-RS). A cada quatro meses (0; 120; 240 e 360 dias) foi avaliada a germinação e o vigor das sementes, pelos testes de primeira contagem de germinação e teste de frio. A redução da germinação e do vigor de sementes de milho, condicionada pelos inseticidas e fungicida utilizados no tratamento das sementes, varia em função do produto e do tempo em que as sementes permanecem armazenadas. -In soybean crops, industrial seed treatment is widely adopted, and it has allowed the development of new technologies, such as the use of dry powders. This work aimed to evaluate the effect of the industrial treatment, with and without the additional application of dry powder, on the physiological potential of soybean seeds. The experimental design was completely randomized, in a 4×2 factorial scheme, with four replications. Four chemical treatments were evaluated: 1) control, 2) carbendazim + thiram + thiamethoxam, 3) carbendazim + thiram, 4) thiamethoxam. Each trial was divided into one group that was treated and the other that remained untreated with the dry powder. The cultivars BRS 360 RR and BRS 284 were used and analyzed separately. The physiological potential of the seeds was determined by the following assessments: germination, first germination count, seedling emergence in sand, seedling total length, shoot length, and root length. Soybean cultivars respond differently to seed chemical treatments, regarding the effects on physiological potential. Using the dry powder results in problems in seed germination speed in the cultivar BRS 284. In the cultivar BRS 360 RR, the use of dry powder associated with thiamethoxam treatment reduces the physiological potential of the seeds.Index terms: Glycine max (L.) O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do tratamento industrial de sementes, com e sem a aplicação de pó secante, sobre o potencial fisiológico de sementes de soja. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 4x2, com quatro repetições, sendo avaliados quatro tratamentos químicos de sementes: 1) testemunha, 2) carbendazim + thiram + tiametoxam, 3) carbendazim + thiram, 4) tiametoxam; todos na ausência e na presença de pó secante. As cultivares utilizadas foram a BRS 360 RR e a BRS 284, que foram analisadas separadamente. O potencial fisiológico das sementes foi determinado por meio das seguintes avaliações: germinação, primeira contagem de germinação, emergência de plântulas em areia, e comprimentos total, da parte aérea e da raiz das plântulas. As cultivares de soja respondem de forma diferenciada aos tratamentos químicos de sementes, quanto aos efeitos no potencial fisiológico. O pó secante resulta em problemas na velocidade de germinação das sementes da cultivar BRS 284. Na cultivar BRS 360 RR, o uso de pó secante associado ao tratamento com tiametoxam reduz o potencial fisiológico das sementes.Termos para indexação: Glycine max (L.) RESUMOA performance fisiológica das sementes é afetada por diversos fatores dentre eles o armazenamento, a qualidade inicial do lote e do tratamento químico a que é submetido. Sendo assim, objetivou-se avaliar a qualidade fisiológica de semente de sojas tratadas submetidas ao armazenamento após tratamento industrial. O experimento foi conduzido na Fazenda Sperafico, no município de Sapezal no Mato Grosso. Foram utilizados dois lotes de cada variedade, com qualidades distintas, ou seja, um com alto vigor e outro com médio vigor. As sementes foram tratadas industrialmente, sendo utilizado para tratamento o fungicida Derosal Plus® na dosagem de 200ml de produto comercial para 100 kg de sementes e inseticida Standak® na dosagem de 200 ml de produto comercial para 100 kg de sementes. A avaliação da qualidade fisiológica foi realizada, no dia do tratamento das sementes e após 20, 40 e 60 dias de tratamento. As variáveis analisadas foram: teste de vigor em solo e ambiente controlado e emergência em solo e ambiente controlado. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualisado, com tratamentos dispostos em fatorial, sendo dois níveis de vigor (alto e baixo) em quatro períodos de avaliação com três repetições por tratamento. Conclui-se que em ambas cultivares, ao se utilizar sementes com alto vigor as mesmas não sofrem decréscimos nos seus níveis de vigor e emergência tanto em ambiente controlado como em solo no período de armazenamento avaliado. Os níveis de vigor das sementes de baixo vigor tratadas, sofrem redução na qualidade fisiológica após 40 dias de armazenamento. PALAVRAS-CHAVE:Glycine max (L.)
