Abstract:The current study aimed to use the auxotroph's tryptophan Escherichia coli as a test to detect Ibuprofen's mutagenic potential. the Ames test was used to detect reverse mutations in auxotroph's E. coli treated with Ibuprofen. The results showed a significant increase (P< 0.05) in reverse colonies of auxotroph's E. coli treated with 250 and 500 mg/mL of Ibuprofen compared to the negative control.
