Design of dynamic multi sensor systems

Abstract: Recent increase in machine automation, machine capability, and the performance of machining processes lead to high demands on process monitoring systems. In the Center of Production Engineering in Hannover Gentelligent Ò manufacturing systems are researched, which will be able to meet those requirements. One enabling factor for these systems is the ''feeling'' capability, achieved by multi sensor systems. This paper copes with the design of these systems. This includes on the one hand the development of sensor… Show more

“…An IR sensor can quantify the warmth of an article and recognizes the movement, so it can recognize objects. The abundancy reaction of infrared (IR) sensors which is dependent on the reflected amplitude of the surrounding articles is non-straight and relies upon the reflection attributes of the item surface [9]. An IR sensor comprises of an IR LED and an IR Photodiode they both are called as photo -coupler.…”

“…The tags are attached to the machine components which may be detached occasionally during the manufacturing process. As it is inspired from the biological organism of which the information exists within itself, a new approach is to store directly the production data on the component surface by merging the information and component (Denkena, et al, 2008, Schmidt, et al, 2008. For the chosen approach, it is necessary to develop the magnetic magnesium (Mg).…”

“…The USN plays the role of monitoring for machine operating status, actual production and increasing the product quality improvement [56]. The vision of "feeling" machine components is achieved by attaching multi-sensor system to these components [57]. Intelligent components are the results of applying sensor technologies and the ICT progress that ensure the precise operations and flexibility of the manufacturing system.…”
