«Det er i motbakke det går oppover» – innovasjonsledelse i motgangstider

Abstract

A characteristic of innovation work is that you do not know what the solution will look like when you start. Good management of the innovation processes is therefore a prerequisite for success in the innovation work and achieving a good result. In this chapter, we will highlight the importance of innovation management when a situation arises that creates a break in the progress of one of the kindergarten projects participating in the SUKIP project. A project group, which was established from the beginning, steps forward in this situation, takes control of the processes and makes the changes that are necessary to ensure progress in the project. The discussion is centered around three central dimensions of the innovation work: Social relations and the interaction between the participants in the project group, discussions and processes that are result- and goal-oriented, and the substantial/professional side of the processes and the topic of competence development for inclusive practice. The chapter shows that the project group must handle these three dimensions in parallel in its management of the innovation process.
