Detection of Mineralization Zones Using Aeromagnetic Data

Abstract: Every day, mining corporations grow and develop over Egypt’s Eastern Desert in search of gold, silver, and other metals. Mineral resources in Egypt are a powerful tool for increasing national income. In this study, we are interested in mineral exploration, such as gold and porphyry deposits, using aeromagnetic data, applying various processing techniques such as First Vertical Derivative, Total Horizontal Gradient, Analytical Signal, Tilt Derivative, and the center of exploration targeting. The study area is l… Show more

“…As technology develops, unmanned aircraft can be controlled using a computer device so that their flight range can be controlled and limited to the required area (ATMEL, 2015;Austin, 2010;Sikiric, 2008;Hatem, Ebrahim, & Abdelrady, 2022).…”

“…The detailed geophysical surveys were conducted to delineate concealed gold bearing deposits over the laterite cover sequence. Most of the mineral exploration agencies involved in exploring/mapping for gold and porphyry deposits, study regional aeromagnetic data for identifying the regional structural features, subsequently conducting the detailed SP, Resistivity surveys in prospect scale (Abdelrahman et al, 2009; Abdelrahman et al, 2003; Mehanee et al, 2021; Mohamed et al, 2022; Salem et al, 2009).…”

“…The El-Barramiya area has been studied by many researchers in order to identify subsurface structures, such as faults, shear zones, and lithological contacts, which may affect ore deposit mineralization and allow effective prospecting via a range of geological and geophysical techniques (Mahmoud et al, 2013;Saleh et al, 2018;Mohamed et al, 2022;Abdelrady et al, 2023). Here, we present the results of eld work, petrography, uid inclusion analysis, and geochemical analyses of mineralized rocks (listvenites, and gold-bearing quartz and carbonate veins) in the El-Barramiya area.…”
