“…84% of women in our study were post menopausal. This result supported by the Indian study at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Pondicherry which showed a prevalance of 77% 10 . This evidences that results in loss of collagen and weakness of fascia and connective tissue which is further aggravated in postmenopausal period due to estrogen deficiency leading to prolapse.…”
