“…Raising the awareness of mothers and professionals who provide birth assistance about the possible negative impact of surgery for the mother and the child is still the best way to reduce Caesarean section birth rates. Once the reasons why women prefer caesarean section to vaginal delivery are understood, it should be the role of medical society, managers and other health professionals to demystify these misconceptions (19) .
