Determination of an Environmental Background Level of 90Sr in Urine for the Hanford Bioassay Program

Abstract: During the decommissioning and maintenance of some of the facilities at the U.S. Department of Energy Hanford Site in Washington State, workers have potential for a Sr intake. However, because of worldwide radioactive fallout, Sr is present in our environment and can be detectable in routine urine bioassay samples.
