Determination of aquifer parameters from well tides

Abstract: able values of specific storage, barometric increment in the aquifer, V a is the total volume efficiency, porosity, and matrix bulk modulus were of that increment, V m is the volume of the solid calculated, but the accuracy of these values is portion, and V w is the volume of the pore space. limited by the imprecise measurements of water level and barometric pressure and the possibility of leakage from imperfectly confined aquifers.

“…Eventually, the numbers of wells with anomalies decreased gradually. As the tide-factor was closely related to the properties of aquifer materials (Elkhoury et al, 2006;Rhoads and Robinson, 1979), the evolution of the above anomalies may suggest that aquifer materials suffer changes from the processes of development and the occurrence of earthquakes. Table 4 and Fig.…”

“…Therefore, the requirement for the pumping tests and cost can be reduced. Determination of aquifer parameters with tidal measurements was discussed by Ferris (1951), Carr and Van der Kamp (1969), Rhoads and Robinson (1979). Erskine (1991) examined the factors affecting aquifer parameters when using the tidal methods.…”
