Determination of Archie’s Tortuosity Factor from Stoneley Waves in Carbonate Reservoirs

Abstract: One of the fundamental equations in calculate the saturation of fluid in hydrocarbon reservoirs is the Archie’s equation. In addition to the parameters measured by well logging such as porosity and resistivity, there are others parameters that called Archie’s coefficients. Archie provides constant values for this coefficient base on experimental core’s data, accordance with saturation formula in sandstone. In carbonate reservoirs nevertheless the sandstone reservoirs, high heterogeneity, variety in lithology a… Show more

“…Since in field methods Figure 2, the potential distribution of objects causing the anomaly is not the same, and the effects of a mass are not helpful. Therefore, the shapes and depths of the anomalous masses are different, and the changes in the Boge anomaly map will include all the masses in the harvest area [27]. Therefore, if there is a uniform distribution potential in the methods or there is no density change between the objects, there will be no discussion of the contents of the anomalies and their separation, and the changes will be linear.…”

“…Therefore, the basis of this method is based on the surface that has the most suitability, in other words, the best agreement with the observed values. In the trend level method, this level is selected for geophysical information as the effects of regions, and after passing this level on the practical information, the remaining geophysical information will be obtained [27]. Therefore, if G i is the practical information and T i is the surface information, R i is the remaining information will be obtained from Equation (2):…”

“…In data mining and statistics, "hierarchical clustering" is a method that performs the act of categorizing and grouping observations and data in a hierarchical manner. The point that distinguishes this method from other clustering methods is the sequence and topdown (or bottom-up) view that exists in this technique (Khakmardan et al 2020a;Khayer et al 2021;Madani et al 2021;Nazerian, Catania, et al 2022;. For clustering, the hierarchical distance clustering method was used and the results were presented according to Table 5 and the dendrogram in Figure 15.…”

“…Metasomatic and albitofer type and a sub-community b The name of phosphorus iron type, which is a subset of phosphate type, exists in the region in which special attention can be paid to rare earth elements. [15,[19][20][21] In another study by Moghiseh et al (2014) in the tailings dam of the Choghart iron plant, in order to pre-concentrate the rare earth elements, the reagent sample was removed, and XRF analysis was performed on the sample with cerium, lanthanum, neodymium with 120, 98 and 350 ppm of light rare elements and yttrium, gadolinium and erbium with 630, 110 and 23 ppm of heavy rare elements showed the highest values, respectively. According to the results of minerals identified in XRD and the properties of rare earth minerals, a series of processing operations were performed on it, which have the grade of cerium, lanthanum, neodymium, and yttrium, gadolinium and erbium, respectively, equal to 4.335, 4.278, 1010.…”
