Abstract:When characterizing spatial coherence properties of turbulent boundary-layer surface pressure fluctuation data, it is important to determine the local flow direction first. Without flow direction, it is very easy to introduce errors due to misalignment between sensors and the flow. For cases with two-dimensional microphone distributions, a method of determining flow direction from the orientation of the coherent pressure in spatial domain was introduced recently. If the data are analyzed in wavenumber domain, … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
