This study is about developing and testing the effectiveness of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) through multimedia in mathematical representations. Features that are developed using the hippo animator provides learning instructions with the tutorial model. The principle of selfregulated learning and mastery learning are both the strategy in learning to ensure students to be able to learn to be self-sufficient and complete. The principles of reliability, usability, maintainability, compatibility, reliability, reliability, interactive and communicative are carried out to assess multimedia well designed in terms of interfaces to maximize mathematical representation. For these purposes, R & D was selected in this study with structured and systematic stages through strict quality control. The results of the study show that multimedia developed is feasible to be produced and used in mathematics learning. Finally, the use of CAI through multimedia plays an important role in facilitating mathematical learning, especially in improving mathematical representation. However, the significance of differences in improving students' mathematical skill in representation ability is not found.

The difference between learning using one sensory ability (e.g. reading text or hearing or looking at the pictures only) and two or more (e.g. reading text equipped by sound and visualized by animation; and even allows children to get involved directly in the process of learning) was that the low ability in memorizing. MESE (Multimedia in Education for Special Education) was a multimedia application developed for reading for children with intellectual disability. This research aimed to find out MESE effectiveness in learning related to reading skills and memorizing. MESE was very attractive and had interactive ability that provided opportunity to learners for independent study. The method used was SSR (Single Subject Research). The results showed that learning by using MESE application enhanced reading skill and memorizing. The analysis of the student’s worksheet of reading ability and memorizing showed positive result though several sessions showed a decline and or a stable.

This research is research into the development of learning media which aims to produce learning media for Multimedia courses which is expected to help lecturers in the teaching and learning process. This research is research into developing the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). In this method there are 6 (six) stages, namely: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Obtaining Content Material, (4) Assembly, (5), Testing, (6) Distribution. In this testing phase, there are four testing forms: Developer Tests, Media Experts, Material Experts, and End -End-user tests. The research obtained good results, and from these results, the research concluded that the application of multimedia learning media.
