The purpose of Graphic Design is to transfer information about design into reality and concerns the analysis, design and representation of mechanical components and assemblies. For the correct rendering of mechanical components, this discipline requires a command of, and the ability to, manage techniques and systems for graphical representation and standardisation; 3D models in a virtual environment enable engineering students to develop graphical skills and spatial awareness. The objective of the present study is the development of an application for smart devices (mobile phones and tablets), based on the constructionist theory of learning, which will enable first year engineering degree students to acquire the technical drawing knowledge and skills necessary to render mechanical assemblies. The mobile application tested and designed in this work is called ARPAID. It is a learning tool aimed at teaching students about the representation of mechanical assemblies as part of an engineering Graphic Design course. Teaching material and a process for evaluation have been designed. A detailed description is given of a classroom activity accompanied by a tabulation and analysis of the results obtained. This mobile application, when used in a Graphic Design course, promotes a more rapid understanding of spatial relationships and problems, fosters students’ learning and motivation, and develops higher order skills. Results from before and after the use of the application will be presented and do indeed show significant improvements in student performance.

Kopi adalah komoditas yang menarik untuk dibicarakan, mulai dari budi daya hingga konsumsi, dari sekadar hobi hingga bisnis. Tidak heran jika warung kopi (kafe) bermunculan di mana-mana dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, baik yang tumbuh dan berkembang maupun yang hanya bertahan dalam waktu singkat. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menghasilkan solusi aplikasi seluler point of sale (POS) yang memudahkan operasional warung kopi sehingga pemilik dapat fokus pada kelangsungan dan pengembangan bisnis. Di sisi lain, solusi tersebut harus mengakomodasi keunikan warung kopi, bukan hanya sebuah restoran pada umumnya. Solusinya juga harus mudah diterapkan di aplikasi Android atau iOS dan komputer pribadi serta terjangkau untuk warung kopi. Tiga bagian aplikasi seluler, yang terdiri dari pelayan, dapur, dan admin, dikembangkan melalui proses berulang dan bertahap dengan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD), React Native, Express.js, dan MariaDB. POS kafe ini memfasilitasi tiga proses bisnis untuk mendukung operasional warung kopi dan membantu pemilik mengendalikan bisnisnya.

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become the main resource to be devoted for most countries in this world. The government of Indonesia has made a regulation by the minister of education and culture in term of implementing curriculum 2013 which includes student center learning and scientific approach as the basis of ICT application. This study discusses the perception of teachers and learners regarding to the implementation of mobile learning in vocational high school. It is a mixed method study where undertakes interviews and surveys coming from two different schools. In analyzing the teachers and learners' perceptions towards implementation of mobile learning, it was used unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) as the guiding model. The data from the survey was analyzed by using SPSS, while finding the contributors key was done by applying percentage analysis. The findings showed that most of teachers and learners at vocational high school in Surakarta city are familiar with mobile ICT. They are capable to operate and use it for some purposes such as; downloading educational material, search for definitions of words or terms, and send assignments to accomplish the learning goals.
