Introduction: Enhancement of patient safety represents a principle objective followed by any health system, and it is necessary to consistently monitor the patient safety culture among nurses. Adopted by health service providers, the patient safety culture is described as the acceptance and maintenance of the patient safety as a common priority and value across the organization, or representation of the common patient safety-related values, beliefs, perceptions, and attitudes among the staff at centers providing health services, as expressed in their behaviors. Given the importance of this topic, the present research investigates the state of safety management in the relationship between safety management and patient safety culture in Cancer Treatment Centers, so as to study the patient safety culture among the personnel at the hospitals. Methods: The present research plan is an applied study following a descriptive aim via a correlational methodology. Validity of the questionnaires used in this research was confirmed based on opinions of five experts, with the reliability of the results among the observers confirmed by a Cronbach's alpha of 0.86. The statistical population included three training hospitals in the city of Kermanshah, where different departments such as management, operating rooms, nurses, and the committee of safety and incidents were investigated during 2017-2018. Results: Based on the findings of the present research, significant direct relationships were observed between the patient safety culture and safety management variables (e.g., operating room standards assessment, the committee of safety and incidents, hospitalization wards assessment, hospital accreditation score, hospital structure, and hospital organization), and an inverse relationship was obtained between the hospital occupancy rate and the patient safety culture. Conclusion: Determination of safety policies by the management, keeping the personnel well-trained, and continuous reports by the personnel tend to enhance the level of safety across a hospital, thereby adding to the safety culture and productivity of the hospital while reducing potential safety risks. Accordingly, in order to enhance patient safety, it is necessary to adequately invest on the assessment of the safety culture.

Incidencesregarding patient safety still occur,and not all are reported to the Hospital Patient Safety Committee. The aim studyto analyze the employee relationship influences the work unit staff's intention in implementingthe patient safety program-the study was conducted bythe quantitative design of observational analytics and through a cross-sectional staff approach. The research sites includedSidoarjo Regional Hospital, Anwar Medika Sidoarjo Hospital, and Ahmad Yani Surabaya Islamic Hospital. The research collects data during May-July 2019. The variables consist of employee relationship as the independent variable and intention as the dependent variable. The results show that the development stage's employee relationship was broadly establishing (46.51%), whereas, for the relationship stage, it was a majority of trusts (72.09%). The source intention stage was mostly personal intention(62.79%), and at the intention level, most of the distal intention was 84.88%. The leadership type affects theworking unit staff's discretionto implement patient safety programs in hospitals, with employee relationships as a variable mediator.The study concluded that the employee relationships had a significant influence on the working unit staff's intention in hospitals to carry out patient safety programs. However,employee relationships affect the work unit staff's intention to carry out the patient safety program.

Transformational Management Properties among Managers of Private and Public Hospitals in Gonbad-e-Kavus City

Transformational management properties could make the weakest organizations strong with the right and efficient approach build. The aim of this study was to determine the transformational management properties among hospital managers in Gonbad-e-Kavus. In terms of data collection, the present study is an an applied research involving objective and descriptive-analytical surveys. The statistical population includes all staff hospitals that were selected randomly in Gonbad-e-Kavous city. The present study was performed including 7 hospitals and 346 respondents. Castiglion transformational management properties questionnaire (2006) was used to collect the required data, with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (0.946). Based on the findings of the research, 67.3% (233 subjects) of the participants in the study evaluated the transformational management properties of the managers of the hospitals at a good level (with a score of 140. 76 ± 27.76), with Payambar Hospital having the highest (151.57 ± 20.31) and Taleghani Hospital the lowest score (130.22 ± 28.10) attributed to the management properties affecting change management. Based on the findings of the research and the impact of effective transformational management properties among the managers of the understudy hospitals, it is recommended to form all effective management transformational management properties, through founding special educational units and holding classes for hospital managers, in order to form various skills and competencies such as communication skills, skills to influence others, trusting, attention skills, and providing sufficient independence which all play an essential role in the success of managers and pave the ground for the flourishment of transformation and innovation in the hospitals.
