Abstract:A Quality Assessment in a hospital is very important to be done. In 2014, the level of patients' satisfaction in the Outpatient Installation of Semen Gresik Hospital was low with an average reaching 73.75% compared with Hospital Minimum Service Standard i.e. by ≥ 90%. This research aimed to arrange a recommendation of the quality improvement of laboratory services in the Outpatient Installation of Semen Gresik Hospital with Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. This research was an analytic observational research using Cross Sectional method in data collection. The research was conducted from April to September 2015. Respondents of this research were patients who received more than twice services at the Outpatient Installation of Semen Gresik Hospital. The final result of this research of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is House of Quality (HoQ) of Laboratory service in Outpatient Installation of Semen Gresik Hospital. The conclusion of the research was that the first priority of Customers' Needs of Laboratory service was that the result waiting time in laboratory became faster. The recommendation given was to increase supervision role, to evaluate the SOP of the result waiting time, to increase the staff competency, to optimize the existing facilities and to make laboratory direction of outpatient installation.
Incidencesregarding patient safety still occur,and not all are reported to the Hospital Patient Safety Committee. The aim studyto analyze the employee relationship influences the work unit staff's intention in implementingthe patient safety program-the study was conducted bythe quantitative design of observational analytics and through a cross-sectional staff approach. The research sites includedSidoarjo Regional Hospital, Anwar Medika Sidoarjo Hospital, and Ahmad Yani Surabaya Islamic Hospital. The research collects data during May-July 2019. The variables consist of employee relationship as the independent variable and intention as the dependent variable. The results show that the development stage's employee relationship was broadly establishing (46.51%), whereas, for the relationship stage, it was a majority of trusts (72.09%). The source intention stage was mostly personal intention(62.79%), and at the intention level, most of the distal intention was 84.88%. The leadership type affects theworking unit staff's discretionto implement patient safety programs in hospitals, with employee relationships as a variable mediator.The study concluded that the employee relationships had a significant influence on the working unit staff's intention in hospitals to carry out patient safety programs. However,employee relationships affect the work unit staff's intention to carry out the patient safety program.
Introduction: Informal workers in Garment Asia Raya of Banyuwangi continue their work activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. These informal workers in Garment Asia Raya Banyuwangi are, therefore, vulnerable to the transmission of COVID-19. The implementation of health protocols must be carried out to prevent and minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission. However, the workers have not fully implemented health protocols. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes with workers’ behavior in the implementation of health protocols. Methods: This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. The research population was 50 informal workers in Garment Asia Raya Banyuwangi, using the total sampling technique. The variables studied were knowledge, attitudes and behavior in the implementation of health protocols. The data collection used a questionnaire sheet that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Results: Most of the workers had a low category of knowledge. Most of the workers had a moderate attitude towards the implementation of health protocols. Moreover, most of the workers had poor behavior in implementing health protocols. The results showed a positive relationship with a weak correlation level between knowledge and attitudes with the behavior of implementing health protocols. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the higher the knowledge and attitudes of workers, the better the workers’ behavior in implementing health protocols.
